Firstly, I’ve posted a bunch of new photos from Jen’s trip to Seattle here. Fantastic trip and if all goes well, she’ll be coming out to stay in the next couple months :)
Also, we’ve finished up a couple big releases on Live News Search at Microsoft, so take a look if you have a chance: http://news.live.com. The browse page makes a pretty good home page ;)
I got around to putting content on the Site Archive page, where you can now find copies of previous versions of procifer.com and joshuasmith.name. I’m still trying to get some more old copies of the site working that will go there eventually too.
I got around to setting up a really basic Flickr mashup on the photos page. It doesn’t do a whole lot beyond just displaying my latest photos, but it’s using my realtime photostream to do so, which is a step in the right direction. Next steps are photosets, tags, comments, etc. And of course, I’ll have to actually add some new photos; after all, I have lost 40 lbs. since the last picture of me was taken :)
Well, I finally settled on a blogging system that I like and can prod into conforming with the style of my site. On that note, my site has a new style, so let me know what you think! The blog uses WordPress so it should be easily syndicated to Facebook and so forth, obviating the need to post things in multiple places. I’m planning on using this mainly for personal posting, but I may wind up posting some technical articles as well, so I’m going to start by dividing the blog into Personal and Professional categories. Anyway, take a peek, post some comments, and send me feedback.
